Cabbage Kofta


 Cabbage kofta- A picture by picture Description


Tired of eating cabbages the regular way?  A great way to spice  up your menu is well...cabbage kofta! And for today I tried cabbage kofta.

Ingredients:

Shredded cabbage
Besan
cumin powder
coriander
Salt
chopped onions
Bay leaf,  Cinnamon stick, elaichi (cardamon)
methi
Tomatoes
turmeric powder
garam masala

Procedure: 
1.Shred the cabbages. Add coriander, onions, cumin powder and besan. No need to add water since the cabbages will release water.


2. After 20 mins minutes, start making balls or oval shaped depending on your choice with the mixture.




3. Fry them under low flame  till golden brown.


4. Remove and set aside on absorbent paper.


5. In a pan, add some oil, then add bay leaves, cardamom,  methi ,cinamon and hing.


6. Then add in the chopped onions and cut tomatoes

7. When the onions and tomatoes softens, add ginger-garlic paste, turmeric, garam masala, coriander powder.


 
8. Lastly add some water to the mixture and let it simmer. After that add the fried koftas in the sauce and garnish with finely chopped coriander.
Enjoy with roti naan or rice.
